Near Astoria, Oregon, on 25 November 1944 soon after commissioning.

USS Laurens (AP-153)

In San Francisco Bay circa late 1945.
Note that the quadruple 40mm gun mount on the bow is stowed facing aft.

In San Francisco Bay probably in November 1945 at the conclusion of her Magic Carpet voyage.
Note the multitude of returning servicemen on deck and the four landing craft in her port side Welin davits.

USS Pondera (APA-191)

In San Francisco Bay, probably at the conclusion of her second and last Magic Carpet voyage in March 1946.
Her quadruple 40mm gun mount forward and its director appear to have been temporarily removed, although the twin 40mm mounts aft and their directors are present. Note the many returning servicemen on deck and the two landing craft in the starboard Welin davits.
