USS Pocomoke (AV-9)

Probably photographed at Norfolk circa July 1941 soon after commissioning but before the installation of the large seaplane crane on its support at the stern.
Pocomoke and Tangier (AV-8) were built to early C3 designs by different builders and differed in many details, including the placement and height of the stack.
